And a few more...

Don't worry...I read her her Miranda rights after this.

When Dada's away, we go out and play! Just kidding. Everything is better when C joins us :) Here are just some more from our last week in Summit sans our main guy.
Is this kid for real? We ran to Target for a couple of things, came out with a million and this hat was one of them. It practically jumped on his head. I love this boyfriend of mine so much and I rue the day I'm replaced by another woman in his life.
This girl is basically treated like royalty by her uncles. Bringing her home balloons, cuddling her, on and on. "Can I take S outside to play?" Uh, yeah!

The other day my mom and I were in the car having one of our deep mother-daughter talks. I feel like I understand her so much more now that I am a mother myself. I asked her what she wants most for her children. Her answer: she just wants her children to be happy. I've mulled over this same question myself, and I think I agree with her. I hope my children will find happiness in what they do, that they will find a happy partner to love them when I'm not around to do so and that they can see what a beautiful place this world is. I think they're off to a pretty good start. (I hope.)

**Complete side note. Turns out we may have a klepto on our hands. We took the kids to go get a Father's Day gift for my dad, and I noticed S had completely stuffed the stroller basket with random little (shiny) trinkets without me noticing. I put all those things away, and then naturally, she had found little finger monsters and started to stash those as well. Being the mushy dad he is, C let her take one home. We taught her how to "growl" like a monster and make her hands into claws. She makes a really cute little monster! I'm really going to have to keep an eye on her whenever we leave a store from now on.

I was just thinking about what you and your mom talked about. I just want my kids to be TRULY happy. I think that means that there will be times when they REALLY don't like me ;) and that's hard to swallow, but I know it will be worth it.

Adorable pictures, Karim!
