Memory Lane: Isle of Man I

Friday, May 3, 2013

Our plan was to spend a couple of days on the Isle of Man with C's parents. Long story short, the trains from London to Gatwick were temporarily held up, and we (along with a ton of other disgruntled travelers) missed our flight. We flew out the next day, and we were still able to see most of the island. It was so gorgeous there and I'm so glad we had the opportunity to visit.

Day 1 pretty much consisted of finding our hotel and finding a place to eat. I am seriously so impressed at how well our two littles ones have done with all the taxis, trains, buses, planes, flats and hotels we've carted them to over the last couple of months. (Well, maybe not buses. I learned the very hard way that S absolutely hates buses. I vowed to never take her on one alone again after spending a good hour crying once we got home.) They are champs.

S repeatedly saying, "Oh no!" She did this 100% on her own after we realized that the ice cream place that we wanted to go to was closed. The funny thing is that I can probably count on one hand the number of times she's actually eaten ice cream.

Hanging out in Grammy and Poppy's room before bed. It was the first time our family of four had all slept in the same room. And guess what? We made it through the whole night! Did I mention already how proud I am of these two?
